A flexible spine can yield a longer, healthier life! This curvy column of vertebrae is responsible for rotation, flexion, extension, as well as lateral movement. It bends in so many ways that without careful attention, misuse is common which can result in injury.
This two-hour workshop helps you build a pain-free backbend, unlocking the potential for greater movement in your tightest spots, (and more stability in your most collapsible spots!). We'll talk in basic language about the anatomy of the spine, and use both passive and active backbends to try out some techniques designed to help you feel more in touch with how your spine works. We will also address the neck, or cervical spine, to help you gaze upward with less tension. Appropriate for all levels!
