Alignment-based Yoga Teacher Training with Nicole Agostino, E-RYT 500
This 200-hr Yoga Alliance certified program is designed for you to immerse yourself
fully in the study of yoga. Whether you intend to become a yoga teacher or are
looking to enrich your practice, you will learn about your relationship with yoga,
yourself, and your body. You will also learn the history and philosophy of yoga,
its ethical teachings, the business of yoga, as well as the science of Ayurveda,
Expect to hone your own alignment, learn the alignment for individual poses as
well as pose families, basic kinesiology, the bandhas (energy locks), how to
practice and teach pranayama (breath work), and the subtle bodies of the kosas,
nadis, and chakras.
You will experience practice teaching, including the giving and receiving of feedback as you develop your skills, sequencing peak-pose and full-spectrum yoga classes, and hands-on assisting. You will also participate in a 30-day Sadhana (daily practice) and explore an Ayurvedic lifestyle.
At the end of the program, you will know how to:
Align-Sequence and teach a well-rounded, dynamic yoga class
Cue and demonstrate purposefully and effectively
Teach four different pranayama practices
Use professional and effective physical adjustments to improve your students’ poses
Offer modifications for pregnancy, injury, and level
Guest teacher Gina Minyard of Atlanta, GA will join us for lessons in therapeutic alignment as well as the system of Ayurveda.
This program is open to all levels of ability with a recommended minimum of 1 year dedicated yoga practice.

Complete all required reading and written homework
Completion of a final packet, including three papers and a written sequence
Pass final written exam with at least 85% and successfully teach a yoga class

Yogafly Studio owner and director Nicole Agostino has been leading yoga teacher trainings since 2014. She has completed several 200- and 300-hour teacher trainings and is committed always to being a student. Nicole has trained extensively in alignment-based vinyasa and hatha yoga, and is experienced in leading workshops in addition to her studio teaching. She has years of study under California-based yoga teacher Peach Friedman, and has also studied closely with esteemed teacher Noah Maze. Nicole receives additional training and mentorship from Gina Minyard of Yoga Collective in Atlanta, GA, and somatic psychotherapist Livia Cohen-Shapiro, of Boulder, CO.
